A typical domestic drive or patio runs three days to a week. Bigger areas, a lot of dig-out, or ground that needs drainage work take longer. You get the expected finish date with the quote, not after we start.
Usually not. A front driveway only needs permission if you lay more than five square metres of surfacing that water cannot drain through, with nowhere for the run-off to go. We design the drainage in from the start, using permeable surfacing or directing run-off to a border or soakaway, so it rarely comes up. Rear patios are almost always permitted development.
